Awareness in surgical advances in contraception had taken a “backseat” to other forms of contraception and there was little incentive for physicians to adopt new technologies and change current sterilization practices. Viewpoint was created rekindle interest in surgical methods of contraception. The publication also offered physicians CME credits.
